Facts about the Hotchkiss tracks.

The Hotchkiss H39 (and the earlier H35) used a distinctive French pre-WWII track, not comparable to U.S. “T-number” tracks. Designed for light weight and durability, but gave a rough ride and limited cross-country performance compared to later designs. After capture, German forces reused H39s with the same original tracks (designated Panzerkampfwagen 38H 735(f)).
