Facts about T62 type tracks.
T62 tracks were a type of WWII-era U.S. tank track used mainly on late-war M4 Sherman medium tanks and some related vehicles with VVSS (Vertical Volute Spring Suspension). They were designed as a steel-block track with improved durability over earlier T48/T49/T51 tracks. These tracks were able to handle heavier vehicles and late-war combat stresses, provided better traction in mud and rough terrain and conserved rubber compare to eariel rubber-padded tracks.
They were primarily used in 1944-1945, late WWII.
